Email Migration

Well, everything has been fine here at RapidEmail.net with no problems whatsoever.  However, it’s time that we get our valued customers migrated off to one of three platforms:

  1. Google Mail (aka gmail)
  2. Microsoft Mail
  3. Basic email hosting (no calendars etc)

If you need assistance choosing your platform, it’s pretty easy.  If you enjoy using Word, Excel and Outlook, your best bet is to have us migrate your email to Microsoft.  If you’re more of a Google user, utilizing tools like Google Drive, Google Voice, Google Chat and a vast array of other Google services, your best bet is to have us transfer your email to Google.  If neither of those sound like you, we can get things transferred to a basic email host.

We will be closing down our services at the end of 2026.  Current costs for hosting with other providers are:

Microsoft – $12.50/mo per account

Google – $7.20/mo per account

Basic hosting – $2/mo per account

Note – ALL of the above are PER ACCOUNT costs.  This doesn’t mean PER EMAIL ADDRESS.  A single account can have an unlimited number of aliases associated with it.

At the end of 2026, if you haven’t yet had us help you move your email, your accounts will still be accessible but no new messages will be accepted.

Please contact us as soon as you can to start your migration.

No news is good news!

I was looking at the website today and realized there haven’t been any updates since 2019 – well, we’re still here, and everything has been working great.  We just haven’t had anything to report lately!  If you’re looking for email for your business or just a personal address that isn’t getting snooped on by big brothers Google or Microsoft, we’re here for you!

SSL Certificate Deployed

Finally!  At long last, we have deployed a valid SSL certificate on our email server.  You’ll need to change your server name for POP, IMAP or SMTP from whatever you’re using now to “mail.rapidemail.net” — if you use the web interface, you’ll want to bookmark https://mail.rapidemail.net.
